I’ve worn many hats in life: janitor, photographer, nursing student, and accountant. This blog is my creative outlet for writing, developing new recipes, and photographing my culinary creations.
As someone with a sensitive palate, keen sense of smell, and reactive skin, I carefully test everything I share. If it's on this blog, it's been thoroughly vetted and is HSP-friendly.
Why Lenten Rose? ​
Walking through Lowe's in spring of 2022, I fell in love with the most unique flower I have ever seen. It was called a "lenten rose" and I was smitten...didn't even know I could adore a flower so much. ​
Turns out, they aren't actually roses. They're something called "hellebores". They grow in just about any conditions and thrive in the shade. They put down solid roots and dislike change, taking time to adapt to being moved. ​
Basically? I've never related to a plant more in my life.

I am quite literally the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. The best judge of character. The most gentle and loving dog with children. The best boy to introduce to people who don't like dogs. And the protector of my family.
I am an old man these days but I still love cuddles...I am obviously a little lap dog, after all!

I am an odd mix of sweet and fierce...incredibly loving and gentle with my family, but not a fan of strangers. I bark at everything: favorite grandma coming to visit? Better bark, can't be too sure she wasn't replaced with an imposter! Just rub my ears and I'll be your friend.

Born in the woods and abandoned as a puppy, I've been around the block a time or two. I've lived in several homes and had more than one family, but through it all I've maintained a sweet and outgoing personality. I love literally everyone! Everyone is my friend! All of you!
Now I'm off to bed...better go find someone to cuddle!
